To everyone who reads my blog:

I'm going to the University of Illinois for sure next year. (My parents and I chose it over Carnegie Mellon; I'm not just stuck there or anything.) I thought that was an important enough thing to write down here... :P

I guess I'm not really into blogging much anymore. Perhaps when I get to college I will be. If I tried to blog now, the entries wouldn't end up telling you too much more than what Facebook would.

If anything, I have had much less free time and inclination to blog at Swarthmore (current study in Germany aside) than at Uni, but your mileage may vary.

But unless you use the facebook post- and note- functions to blog, facebook won't ever approach your blog in terms of communicating about you.

After all, blogs are records, describing emotional and ideological trends, while facebook profiles are just frames shot at distinct points in time.

And even the most dull of blogs tell about personality by virtue of the content that is posted and not posted and how said content is posted or not posted.

Facebook is the filling out of a form and then displaying said form to everyone.

But maybe I am too jaded.
